Moulvibazar district is located in the north- eastern borderline of Bangladesh. Maulvibazar subdivision was established in 1882 as the name of south Sylhet under Sylhet district and was turned into a district on 22 February 1984. The region was named after Hazrat Shah Mustafa (R) in 1960. Vanubal Peasant Movement (1307), The Sipahi Revolt (1857), Anti British Movement, Kilafat Conference (1921), The Nankar Movement (1931-1931), Haor Karaiya Movement (1968-1969) etc are the remarkable chapters of the region. The physiography of the region was seriously changed due to the devastating earthquake on 12 July 1897. The Geo position of the district is between 24˚10’ to 24˚35’ North latitudes and between 90˚35’ to 91˚20’ east longitude.

Munshiganj district is located in the central Bangladesh. Today's Munshiganj was once a part of ancient glorious region of Bikrampur. The previous name of the region is "Idrakapur". There was a famous personality named Munshi Hayder Hossain in the Mughal period who was appointed by the Mughol as a local ruler for the region on behalf. Mushi was extremely great and famous for his activities for mankind and formerly Indrakpur was renamed after the great personality Munshi Hayder Hossain. In 1945, the region was promoted as a subdivision by British East India Company for administrative benefits. On March 01, 1984 Munsiganj was declared as a district under Dhaka Division. The land of the region in almost low lying area and has no hilly area. Most of the area is flooded in rainy season. The total area of Munshiganj is 954.96 Sq Km. The Geo position of the region is between 23˚29’ to 23˚45’ North Latitude and between 90˚10’ to 90˚43’ east Longitude.

Mymensingh district is located in the northern part of Bangladesh. The previous name of the region is ‘`Nasirabad’’. In the Mughel period the region is called ‘Momensahi’ -named after saint Momensah (R). With the passing of age, it is called Mymensingh. It is called that Haor, Jungle and Buffalo horn formed the name of Mymensingh. The region is the place of history, tradition and literature. The Mymensingha Gitiaka (Ballads) collected by Dr Dinesh Chandra Sen from the region that represent a rich and valuable treasure of world literature. Fakir and Sannyashi Revolt (1722-1790), great flood (1787), famine (1788), earthquake (1897), Sadeshi Movement (1905) etc are the remarkable chapters of the region. Mymensingh is one of the oldest districts in Bangladesh. Mymensingh district is established in 01 May 1787 and it was divided into six districts named Tangail, Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Kishoreganj, Sherpur and Netrokona in 1984. The area of current Mymensingh district is 4394.57 Sq Km. It is the 5Th largest district in Bangladesh and the largest district of Dhaka division. Narail District is located in the south- western part of Bangladesh. The naming of Narail is debatable by historians. Some historians think that Narail was named after great saint Narial Fakir. Researcher S M Rais Uddin Ahmed thinks that the word Narail came from “Loreall.” It means who fight against enemies. During the period of Khan Jahan Ali (R) such Lorealls guard the border standing on the high end of the bank of border canals. Indigo Revolt (1859-1860), Peasant movement, Tebhaga movement (1946) etc are the remarkable chapters of the region. During the East India Company ruling period, Narail subdivision was established in 1861 under Jessore district. The administrative area of the region was reformed in many times. Finally 01 March 1984, Narail subdivision was upgraded into district. The Geo position of the district is between 23˚10’ North latitudes and between  89˚30’ east longitude.

Narayanganj is the second largest river port of Bangladesh and the district was named after Bicon Lal Panday who is also known as Luxmi Narayan Thagure. In 1766, he leased the region from British east India Company. It is popularly known as the Dandy of East due to presence of a number of jute mills and just 16 Km away from the capital city Dhaka. Sitalakkhya River is flowing through Narayanganj. Narayanganj Munacipality is formed in September 08, 1876 and adorned as a subdivision in 1947. Narayanganj is promoted as a district in February 15, 1984. The area of current Narayanganj District is about 684.37 Sq Km. The weather is fairly moderate and the summer and winter are in the interval in the region. The average temperature of the district is 17.5° F. The amount of the annual average rainfall is 183 CM. The Geo position of the district is between 23°34’ to 24°15' North Latitude and between 90°27' to 90°59' East Longitude.
